Games are always the favorite activities of children both in and out of the classroom. Hence, using games for educational purposes is a technique that is mostly used by teachers. The reason is that these activities increase students’ motivation and engagement (Razali et al., 2020) and their academic achievement as well as skills in English (Garcia Altuzar, 2020).

Garcia Altuzar (2020) states that these online activities are important to enhance students’ writing, grammar and vocabulary skills. Moreover, the same study suggests they also increase soft skills like competition and cooperation.

Here we have some ideas to boost students’ language skills in English:

1. Digital Storytelling: You can boost creative writing skills by assigning your students a writing task, individually or collaboratively. Students can create their book either about a topic they prefer or related to the topics you have covered. Students can adopt a traditional fairytale and modernize it into the present. They can also create informative books about various topics.

2. Online Quizzes: You can assign each student a topic to create an online quiz by adding their voice recordings to the questions. In this way, you can boost their creativity and speaking skills. Moreover, online quizzes can be utilized to increase student's vocabulary development. You can create quizzes to revise the topics you have covered so far.

In this way, it is possible to have more exciting and motivational lessons for your students, which engage them and assist their journey in developing their language skills in English.
